Privacy Policy
CyberPet is a desktop application for macOS and Windows developed by Mosil Studio ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data CyberPet reads, how it is used, where it is stored, and how you can delete it.
In short: CyberPet has no server of its own. Your calendar data is stored only on your own computer. We cannot see it, and we never upload, share or sell it.
1. Google data CyberPet reads
When you sign in with a Google account, CyberPet requests the following four scopes. All of them are read-only:
| Scope | What is read and why |
|---|---|
openid | Your account identifier, used to tell your Google accounts apart, so the same account does not appear twice when you sign in again. |
email | Your account's email address, shown on the settings page so you know which account each calendar belongs to. |
calendar.calendarlist.readonly | Your list of calendars (names and colors), so you can choose which calendars to show. |
calendar.events.readonly | The events in your calendars (such as title, time, location and description), used to show your events and reminders. |
CyberPet never creates, changes or deletes anything in your Google Calendar.
2. How the data is used
CyberPet uses the Google data it reads for only two purposes:
- To show your calendars and events on your own computer.
- To remind you on your desktop when an event is about to start.
It is not used for anything else.
3. Where the data is stored
- Only on your computer. CyberPet connects from your computer directly to Google over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The data does not pass through any server run by us or by any third party.
- Sign-in credentials are encrypted. The access credentials Google issues to CyberPet are encrypted with your operating system's protection (macOS Keychain, Windows DPAPI) and stored on your device. If this encryption is not available, CyberPet stops the sign-in instead of storing credentials unencrypted.
- The event cache is encrypted. To show your events quickly, CyberPet keeps a cache of events for a limited period on your device, also encrypted.
- This data is kept in CyberPet's folder:
~/Library/Application Support/CyberPeton macOS and%APPDATA%\CyberPeton Windows.
4. No uploading, sharing or selling
- We have no server and never upload your data anywhere.
- We do not share your data with anyone, and we do not sell it.
- We do not use it for advertising.
- We do not use it to train AI or machine learning models.
- We, including our developers, have no way to read your data.
5. Google API Services User Data Policy
CyberPet's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. iCloud Calendar and ICS subscriptions
- iCloud (coming soon): Once supported, the Apple ID and app-specific password you enter are encrypted and stored only on your device, just like Google credentials. CyberPet connects directly to Apple's servers to read your calendars.
- ICS subscription URLs: These URLs often contain a private access key, so CyberPet treats them like passwords: they are encrypted and stored on your device, and events are downloaded directly from that URL.
- Imported .ics files: Read only on your computer; the events are cached on your device, encrypted.
7. Other data
- Your settings (which characters to show, appearance, calendar display names and colors, and so on) are stored in a settings file on your device.
- Characters you import are stored in the
charactersfolder inside the folder listed in section 3. - CyberPet contains no analytics, tracking or advertising tools, and does not send usage data or crash reports.
8. Retention and deletion
- The data stays on your computer until you delete it.
- When you sign out of an account on CyberPet's settings page, CyberPet deletes that account's credentials and event cache.
- Windows: Uninstalling CyberPet deletes sign-in credentials, the event cache and settings. Characters you imported are kept; if you no longer need them, delete the
charactersfolder inside the folder listed in section 3. - macOS: Moving CyberPet to the Trash does not delete its data. To remove everything, sign out of all accounts in CyberPet first, or delete the folder listed in section 3 yourself. You can also delete the "CyberPet Safe Storage" item in Keychain Access.
9. Revoking access
Signing out in CyberPet only deletes the data on that computer. It does not revoke the access you granted to CyberPet in your Google account, so CyberPet on your other computers stays signed in. To revoke access, remove CyberPet on your Google Account's third-party apps & services page (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions).
10. Children
CyberPet is not designed for children under 13. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
11. Changes to this policy
